What I Do
Caleb:

I tell stories. That's what film is all about: telling a story. It constantly amazes me how the importance of every other aspect of a film caves under the weight of the story being told. This is why I love directing so much.

When I'm not the chief storyteller on set, I enjoy 1st Assistant Camera. Being an organized, technical person I geek out with the camera gear.

Cory:

On set I love hanging out in the camera department, if not as DP, then in any other way to help them out. I also enjoy collaborating with other DP's as gaffer, talking through how we're gonna paint the scene with light. Love it, love it, love it.

Off set... I'm usually at the theater or on YouTube studying how they lit whatever it is I'm watching. I never turn it off. It's my curse.

What I Watch
Cory:

I'm a sucker for a good romantic comedy. And action movies. And drama. And... well, all of them. Except horror. I'll pass on those.

If I had to give you actual titles to the films I like, It would definitely be (500) Days of Summer, along with The Brothers Bloom. The openings to both of those movies are incredible!

Caleb:

Any film that excels in presentation can capture my attention. I like to think. Having said that, there are some quirky romantic comedies I enjoy. Not an action fan simply because the characters usually get pushed to the back seat.

What I Read
Cory:

I'll be honest, I'm not much of a reader. So... mainly scripts are what I read. Yep.

Caleb:

Books on screenwriting, and a few blogs. I'm more of a visual guy.

What I Eat
Caleb:

Food that tastes good. If it's also healthy, great.

Cory:

I'm always up for a good steak and fries any day of the week. Also, if you feel inclined to take me out to Five Guys, I wouldn't object.

What I Listen To
Cory:

I've been on a bit of a John Mayer kick lately. Anything chill, really. Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Chris Rice, Harry Connick Jr... Snoop Lion.

Caleb:

Almost anything. Pop, light pop, punk rock, jazz, country, reggae, oldies, dubstep, rap, alternative, you name it. There's typically something I can find within the genre. I find myself listening to jazz standards a lot recently.

What I Dream About
Caleb:

Everything. In detail. Places, colors, numbers, even how things are lit.

Cory:

Caleb dreams more than enough dreams for both of us. I'm his audience of one at breakfast.
